The Brocken (1,141 m) is the Harz's best-known destination. Whether by the historic railway, on foot or by bike — at the top you'll find views, the Brockenhaus and Harz legends.
Allow plenty of time; on weekends and in peak season an early start is advisable.
Brocken summit is only approx. 23 km from Bambis Basecamp – a detached holiday home in Blankenburg with heated hot tub, wood stove and fenced garden.
